Installation guide: D365 HR Power Apps Recruitment add-on within D365 Finance and PPAC

In this article I will guide you through the installation of the Recruitment add-on that Microsoft introduced a while back. This article will walk you through the installation through Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, Power Platform admin center and, Power Apps studio.

First thing we will go into Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations - this is the immersive experience, you may have another look and feel - and go to Feature Management.

ree

ree

Check that the recruitment features are all enabled.

ree

Go to Microsoft Marketplace and look for Dynamics 365 Human Resources recruiting add-on (Preview), select Get it now.

ree

Sign in into Microsoft Marketplace.

ree

Then select Get it now again.

ree

Select the environment from the dropdown, agree to legal terms and privacy statements. Then select Install.

ree

When everything is completed you will notice a message on the very top that the installation has started.

ree

The app will install.

ree

I waited for a day and the installation of the app was done.

ree

In make.powerapps under Apps you will find the Recruiting add-on.

ree

Still in make.powerapps go to Solutions.

ree

Select Default Solution.

ree

Look for Connection references and then find the recruiting ones.

ree

You will have to link the list above to the right connection.

Recruitment approvals connections should be connected to Standard Approvals. Search for a new connection.

ree

A new window will open, select Standard Approvals (you can also use the search option in the top right) and then select +

ree

Select Create.

ree

And verify the Status of the new connection is Connected.

ree

Go back to make.powerapps and in the already opened small tab select + New Connection, and then hit refresh. The new connection available will be displayed. Select it.

ree

Save changes.

ree

Recruitment Content Connections should be connected to Content Conversion (preview) connector. Search for a new connection.

ree

ree

Recruitment Dataverse connection should be connected to Dataverse Connector. Search for a new connection.

ree

Find the Microsoft Dataverse connector from the list and then select +

ree

Choose your authentication type and then select Create.

ree

Verify the status is connected.

ree

Go back to make.powerapps and in the already opened small tab select + New Connection, and then hit refresh. The new connection available will be displayed. Select it.

ree

Recruitment office 365 outlook connection should be connected to Office 365 outlook connector. Search for a new connection.

ree

Find the Office 365 Outlook connector from the list, select +

ree

Select Create.

ree

Verify the status is established as connected.

ree

Recruitment Teams connection should be connected to Microsoft Teams Connector. Search for a new connection.

ree

Look for the Microsoft Teams connector and select +

ree

Select Create.

ree

Verify the status is connected.

ree

Go back to make.powerapps and in the already opened small tab select + New Connection, and then hit refresh. The new connection available will be displayed. Select it.

ree

The five connection references below should be completed by now. However it can take some time, so I recommend to let your head and laptop rest for a bit before moving forward or executing any testing.

ree

Search for cloud flows, and on the top right search for recruiting. Find the job ad using recruiting request and turn the flow on.

ree

Verify the flow has been succesfuly turned on with the banner as shown below.

Stay tuned for my next post :)
