Microsoft recently announced this fantastic feature and I have been trying it little by little. Today I present you the 2.0 version of my previous post: Power Automate Process Advisor for HR (anainesurrutia.com).
As you know, the Microsoft product team released this functionality, and because I wasn't aware of the very basics I started slowly. Today I feel comfortable with you sharing a bit more and diving deeper. Let's go!
If you haven't, go here to learn how Proces Advisor works and why is such important functionality and platform: Power Automate Process Advisor for HR (anainesurrutia.com).
Let's start with the basics: what on earth is Power Automate Process mining?
Process mining in process advisor allows you to take the event data from your system of records and visualize the processes happening in your organization. Process mining provides novel insights that can help you identify automation opportunities, and address performance and compliance opportunities.
After following all the steps presented in my previous article (just in case you haven't found it: Power Automate Process Advisor for HR (anainesurrutia.com)), you will get something like this:
Once you understand how your process is working the time that is taking and a couple of other metrics, go to Minit. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, don't worry. You can download it here:
Once you downloaded Minit, know that a desktop app will open, and it will be connected to your Power Automate environments. If you are working on more than one is easy to change from the top right.
You can easily access to the data you uploaded and work with it using a very interesting user experience, that makes everything so seamless.
Minit
Let's dive into the different sections that appear in Minit and how you can take advantage of them.
Process map
I like it because from an HR perspective I'm able to visualize the:
Process flow for hiring
Collaboration between people
Roles that the company is looking for
Process animation
Look how cool this looks, it is actually showing me very quickly how the flow of the hiring processes.
Statistics
We can visualize a bunch of reports about the cases with some interesting information
Root case analysis
Here we can visualize some specific reports about metrics. I wanted to focus on my rework because that means slower processes and of course, they have an economic impact.
Variants
Here we can access all the variants we had through the process we uploaded into the system. It's quite cool because it shows the trends and the most used activities, in this case.
Process compare
I think this functionality is kind of duplicating the one mentioned earlier in the first screenshot.
Export
You can export your data easily with this functionality, the only format supported is CSV.
I hope you like this post and enjoy process mining. It is an absolutely awesome solution that will help us work smarter and actually understand what is currently going on. You already have the data, now is the time for process mining.
