AI ERP Immersive home🏡

Actualizado: 15 may

In this article I will share how to enable the feature and dive into the new interface called Immersive home but first, let's do some retrospective on the evolution of the main Dashboard.

I need to be honest, when I started using D365 HR I was really happy about the solution as it was simple, clear and all was available in one place. When the merge with Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations happened I started to feel overwhelmed with so many things in the screen.

This is how Dynamics 365 Human Resources looked like before the infrastructure merge. So easy and simple. I loved it.

After the merge was confirmed, I panicked. Demoing D365 HR within D365 FO was not easy, HR people got even more overwhelmed than myself. The landing page was displaying so many things... Let's have a look at it:

A couple of days ago the Immersive home feature has been released and I'll guide you through feature enablement and use. Please remember the Unified experience presented not to long ago regarding D365 FO Environment management, use this resources to get your hands dirty and learn before you keep going:

The preconditions for the feature to work are the ones below:

After Manage, find your environment, select the three dots and then Details.

Once in your environment details, go to Resources and select Dynamics 365 Apps.

If you follow all the process by the book the new immersive home feature should be already there. Below find a video doing a walkthrough of the new interface.

From the very first interactions with the system I can tell you a little bit of pros and cons - very initial and without having worked a lot with the new Immersive Home. I must admit I'm the one that likes the new experience. But there are some things I'm not a fan of - as how difficult it is to identify the environment besides the small legal entity in the top right - I cannot have a UAT banner or something that helps me or my users identify where we are in. So I will pray for my users to not do any changes in prod... I'm used to do banners for each type of environment. That is one of the downsizes, besides that I'm happy the experience.

This is Adri's blog, he is an absolute legend on anything FO, X++, Power Platform, Star Wars, and so many other things. Most of my questions and interactions with him have lead me to learn constantly and find answers to what I thought it was impossible to solve. He has a great book combining Finance and Power Platform.

The article below explains how to upgrade version in the new unified experience, something that you need for
